Privacy Policy — Dayan AI
Dayan AI is the AI assistant for university stakeholders — students, instructors, staff and administrators — built by Eques AI and deployed at Heliopolis University. This policy explains what the assistant collects and how it is used.
1. What we collect
We collect your chats, uploaded files, generated documents and basic usage patterns so the Assistant can answer requests, keep your private chat history and produce the files you ask for.
2. How it is used
Collected data is used to answer your requests, keep a private history of your chats, generate documents, and improve the Assistant and the university system. We continuously adapt these practices as the system develops.
3. AI model providers
Your messages are processed by AI models operated by third-party providers (Google and DeepSeek), solely to generate replies. We do not sell your data or share it for marketing. Access to the Assistant’s systems is limited to the operational staff who run it.
4. Retention
Your chat history and uploaded files are kept while your account is active. You may delete individual chats at any time from the sidebar; deleting an account is handled through the university administration.
5. Security
Access is protected by your university Gmail login. Role-based permissions ensure you only see what your role allows.
6. Changes
This policy is generic by design and will be updated as the system evolves. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
