Terms of Use — Dayan AI
Dayan AI is the AI assistant for university stakeholders — students, instructors, staff and administrators — built by Eques AI and deployed at Heliopolis University. These terms apply to every member who signs in.
1. Acceptance
By using Dayan (the “Assistant”) you agree to these Terms of Use. They may be updated as the system continues to develop; continued use means acceptance of the current version.
2. Purpose
The Assistant is provided by Eques AI — the company operating the Dayan assistant — to support academic scheduling, reporting and administrative workflows for the universities it serves — today Heliopolis University. It is currently in pilot mode, meaning it is being tested, developed and improved progressively as a working tool that evolves with the university’s systems. During this pilot phase, features, availability and behavior may change as the system matures.
3. Acceptable use
Use the Assistant for university-related work only. Do not attempt to bypass role permissions, access other users’ private data, or use the system for unlawful purposes.
4. Data gathered
The data gathered through your use (conversations, uploads, reports and usage patterns) is used to operate, improve and develop the Assistant and the university’s systems overall.
5. Data processing by AI providers
To answer you, the Assistant processes your messages with AI models operated by third-party providers (Google and DeepSeek), solely to generate the reply. We do not sell your data or share it with anyone for marketing or advertising.
6. Changes
These terms are generic by design and will be adapted as the system develops. Material changes will be reflected on this page before they take effect.
7. Email communications
By accepting these terms you consent to receive occasional emails about updates, feedback requests, new features and research participation opportunities. You may opt out at any time.
